$100 Bathroom Remodel

Oh boy. This is a makeover to top all other makeovers that I’ve done. This tiny bathroom in our master bedroom has been hidden away because it was so ugly. Okay, it wasn’t terrible, but it just didn’t feel like me. Please enjoy this guide on how I completed a $100 bathroom remodel.

$100 Closet Remodel

The real slim shady song has been STUCK in my head all day. I have no idea why. I also have a terrible headache because my coffee this morning was 20% coffee and 80% sugar & whipped cream. Oh well, It’s the weekend. I’m back to distract you with my $100 closet remodel (otherwise known as the February house project that is just now being written). If you like organization and terrible before photos but also really good after photos, stick around.

Front porch decor for fall

can’t believe it’s already time for all things pumpkin! It’s still pretty hot outside here in OKC but hopefully a cool down will happen soon. I am getting excited to break out my scarves, sweaters and booties. More importantly, I ordered a bunch of new fall clothes for Isla and I can’t wait until its cool enough to put her in a cute little sweater. See what I bought her from H&M here. Thanks for stopping by to check out our Fall decor for your porch ideas! These easy to recreate ideas will have your porch looking cozy in no time!

DIY Toy Box – Tons of Storage!

Heidi-ho, Neighbor! (Anyone else watch old re-runs of Home Improvement and miss the 90s?).

I haven’t had time to build anything in a while to share with you guys. I’ve been helping my mom redo her kitchen, taking a little break from blogging, Isla had a health scare in April and I haven’t felt like writing anything, if i’m being honest. But I thought I’d tell you about Isla’s toy box that I built for her first birthday! This DIY Toy Box offers tons of storage, which makes cleaning her room a breeze!

She turned one in October and I really needed a practical way to store her toys and books. We were having to get creative and stuff toys all over the place to put them away.

I had been wanting to build her a toy box but I knew it would have to have a built in bookshelf as well as storage for bigger items. I have been following Ana White for years and I had seen these plans before.

Urban Farmgirl February Box!

Is everyone sticking to their resolutions this year? Or are you like me and just ate an enormous plate of Chinese food for lunch? Haha I am actually doing pretty good on my resolutions. Check them out here.

I’m down 18 lbs since the beginning of November and while I can’t really tell yet, others have started making comments. Hooray! It makes me want to go out and buy a swim suit already! Not quite, but almost. I’m really wanting summer to get here so I can spend some time outside. I’m super pale looking these days, much like a vampire. I’m pretty sure the dark circles under my eyes are permanent at this point. #momlife

I can’t stop picking sunny places that I’d like to visit. I’m sitting here day dreaming of Nantucket instead to telling you about the contents of my February box from Urban Farmgirl. See what was in my January box here.

The Best Farmhouse Decor Subscription Box

For Christmas this year, my mom got me such a cool and unique gift!

I can’t wait to show you guys! This post will be short and sweet. I just want to show you guys that there is a little shop in Northern Illinois that will send you goodies for you and your home! Whoop! Whoop!

I got the January box from Urban Farmgirl. Urban Farmgirl is located in Rockford, Illinois and it’s a little shop that has just about everything farmhouse style. It’s completely wonderful and I’ve visited twice. I want one of everything that they sell and both times that I’ve been, I brought home timeless pieces of decor that I love and that will work in lots of different spaces.

Holiday Home Tour 2018

Holiday Home Tour – 2018

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!!! I’m pumped. As much as I wish I did, I currently don’t have every room in the house decorated. It’s hard enough keeping my current decorations in place with a toddler who insists on trying to re-decorate. She just doesn’t understand my vision, guys.

The areas that I have decorated are the porch, the dining room where the Tree is (It’s the only room that has a big bay window and I love seeing the tree when I pull up to our house), our kitchen (very minimal decorating in here. It’s mostly the island top where the baby can’t reach. We also have our entryway decorated and of course the fireplace!  That is about it though.

I’m sure when Isla is older we will go all out but at the same time I really enjoy only have to pack a couple of tubs at the end of the holiday season. We have made a conscious effort this last year to have less stuff. We donated a ton of Christmas decorations at the beginning of the season and it felt really good to only hold onto the pieces that we really love.

DIY Book Page Christmas Tree Banner

DIY Book Page Christmas Tree Banner

I’m excited to share with you guys how I made this adorable little Christmas tree banner! It’s currently on my entry way table but you could use it on a mantle, shelf or headboard-which I may end up doing in my guest room later on.  Does anyone else move stuff all around their house trying to find a home for it? I seem to do this a lot with my Christmas decorations lately.

My sister is a librarian, so when old books are to be thrown away by the library, she gets to bring them home and we try to give them new life!

Just take a look at my sister’s other book page projects!

She is crazy talented. If you’d like to see a tutorial on any of these projects, please let me know and maybe I can talk her into doing one for you.

Let’s get crafting!

DIY Entryway Coat Hooks

DIY Entryway Coat Hooks – A how-to guide

Today’s Blogmas post is going up pretty late. I still made it before midnight so it totally counts! It has been crazy over here. I was supposed to be in Dallas for a work trip today and tomorrow but I canceled it because the weather is supposed to get bad. Hope you stocked up on groceries if you live around here! The store was a madhouse last night. Anyway, let’s get down to the building! That’s why you’re here after all! This simple DIY Entryway Coat Hook project only takes about an hour to complete!

In our entryway, we don’t currently have anywhere to hang our bags or coats. We have a coat closet in our hallway but it would be nice to have something a little bit more accessible. The diaper bag and my purse usually end up on our dining table and our console table is giant so there isn’t much room for coat hooks but I finally thought of a solution that works!
