It’s teachers appreciation week and now more than ever we need to recognize that our teachers are absolutely AMAZING. My mom, sister, and mother-in-law are all educators so I have a good idea of what teachers want and I have complied a list of gift ideas for Teachers Appreciation Week.

Toddler Spring Clothing Haul

Hey folks. How is everyone doing? I haven’t posted in awhile because, while I have a ton of content to share, I haven’t felt like writing much. Eventually I knew I’d fire up the laptop and get back to work and here we are.

5 Gifts You Need to Get Your Toddler This Christmas

Day 3 of Blogmas 2019! That’s right. I plan on posting every day (or at least trying to) until Christmas like I did last year. I have a ton of fun Christmas content for you guys and I’m pumped that you’re here. I love this little community. I can’t believe I started this journey over a year ago! Now settle in for a quick list of 5 gifts you need to get your toddler this Christmas!

Books to Read with Your Children During December

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I also hope you’re excited to get some new ideas for Christmas books to read to your child because I’ve put together a short list of books to read with your children during December!

This year has really flown by. Fall is always such a busy time for us because we have Isla’s birthday and our anniversary in October. I’ve been so busy running around and decorating for the Holidays (Home tour coming soon), that I have really had to make slowing down and focusing on what’s around me during this season a priority. It’s so easy to get swept up in social media and screen time during the colder months but I’ve really been making an effort to make memories with Isla.

Autumn Clothing Haul For Toddler

About a month ago I was cruising the H&M website on my lunch break and decided to check out their Fall toddler clothing. I have bought Isla tons of stuff at H&M. Their clothes fit her really well and they are affordable, but also great quality. They always seem to last and I box them up for the next Baby P instead of throwing them out (this is not an announcement, I just like to plan ahead).

DIY Toy Box – Tons of Storage!

Heidi-ho, Neighbor! (Anyone else watch old re-runs of Home Improvement and miss the 90s?).

I haven’t had time to build anything in a while to share with you guys. I’ve been helping my mom redo her kitchen, taking a little break from blogging, Isla had a health scare in April and I haven’t felt like writing anything, if i’m being honest. But I thought I’d tell you about Isla’s toy box that I built for her first birthday! This DIY Toy Box offers tons of storage, which makes cleaning her room a breeze!

She turned one in October and I really needed a practical way to store her toys and books. We were having to get creative and stuff toys all over the place to put them away.

I had been wanting to build her a toy box but I knew it would have to have a built in bookshelf as well as storage for bigger items. I have been following Ana White for years and I had seen these plans before.

Last Minute Amazon Gift Guide

My last gift guide of the season! You know what that means?! Christmas is next week!! Who doesn’t love Amazon? I may have addiction but I can’t be the only one. You have 2 days left to order on Amazon and still have it delivered by Christmas Eve! No judgment here if you’ve procrastinated this long and haven’t bought anything. I am normally running around the week of Christmas trying to find the perfect gift. Fear not, here is a list to help you shop from the comfort of your recliner…in your PJs… while watching the office. Or whatever you watch on TV.

Holiday Gift Guide for the Decor Lover in your life

Hello folks! Today I am letting you know exactly what I want for Christmas – or someone who likes to decorate in the farmhouse/ industrial/ cottage style. Here are my favorite things that would make a lovely gift for someone. So let’s get into my Holiday Gift Guide for the Decor Lover in your life!

  • Tiered Stand – My first find is from Wayfair. I am seeing these 3 tiered wood trays all over the place! I’ve seen them in bathrooms to hold hand soap and I’ve seen them on kitchen islands and I desperately need one in my life.  I would use it in the kitchen and put my holiday knick-knacks on it or maybe a cute Christmas mug. The possibilities are endless.

  • Personalized Lanterns – Check out these beautiful personalized lanterns! I just love this idea. Especially for someone who just got married. Such a thoughtful and unique gift.

10 Gifts for the Traveler in your life

Glenfinnan Church, Glenfinnan, Scotland

Over the course of the last few years, I’ve been able to put together a list of some travel essentials that I can’t go without. These items have all played a role in my previous travels, both domestic and international. Any traveler you know will appreciate a gift from this list!

  • Backpack(Eagle Creek 45L/S) – This is the bag that I recommend. It’s got enough room for more than a week’s worth of clothes, it’s durable and has a “No Matter What Lifetime Warranty”. Best yet, it only weighs 1.8Lbs when empty and folds up into itself for storage inside of another bag if needed. I’ve used this bag on every trip that I’ve gone on for the last 3 years.
  • Anti-theft Purse(Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Slim Day Bag) – I bought this one from ebags and it has been great! I like that it just looks like a small cross body bag. It’s lightweight and can easily fit in my luggage or duffel bag if I need to store it. Since it’s an anti-theft bag, it has reinforced straps, and is made from an RFID blocking material that is slash-proof. Small enough to stay out of the way, but large enough to fit my credit cards, cash, makeup, and even my iPad Mini.

Christmas in Chicago – Must Do Guide

We haven’t been to Chicago at Christmas time in couple of years, but we have our favorite places to visit when we go. I love Chicago at Christmas time. It is magical. All the stores are decorated, and they actually have winter weather. If you like the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, then this list is for you.  We live in Oklahoma and we get ice storms sometimes and maybe a little snow, but it doesn’t stay very cold for very long. If you like the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, then this list is for you.

Here are our favorite things to do in the windy city when its chilly out! If you’re planning a trip during the holidays, then you need to check these places out.
