Winter Destination Bucket List

I absolutely love cold weather. Bundling up to play in the snow is my favorite. I also enjoy planning a vacation here and there. I have an ongoing list of places I’d like to visit and places that I’d especially like to visit in the winter months!

At each of these beautiful destinations there are so many things to do so I thought I’d also let you know what I plan on doing on these trips when we eventually get around to going!

  • Banff-Alberta, Canada – Is it even a winter destination bucket list if I leave out our friends up north? The photos I’ve seen of this place are breathtaking. Especially with snow everywhere! I could spend so much time just taking in these gorgeous views. I’ve also always wanted to ice skate on a frozen lake and apparently you can do that too! You can also take a dog sled tour! Snow and doggos are my favorite things! Downtown Banff looks absolutely charming and so festive.

  • Iceland – Pretty much anywhere here will do. I mean, Ice is in the name. It’s gotta be filled with wonderful winter scenery! I would love to check out the northern lights and take a dip in the blue lagoon. I’ve seen a ton of blog posts about trips to Iceland and it looks so gorgeous. Plus, you can usually find pretty cheap air fare. Sometimes WOW air has tickets for $99.

  • Switzerland – Visit a Swiss chocolate factory? Yes please. Apparently, they are known for their Christmas markets and I can definitely get down with shopping, especially if I’m drinking an authentic Swiss hot chocolate. They are the experts, after all.

While there are several more places I’d like to visit in the winter, those are pretty high on my list of winter destinations that I’d love to see. When Isla gets a bit older and can handle the colder temps we will definitely be checking these locations off our list. What are some winter destinations you’d like to visit?

Somewhere the snow makes you want to cuddle up and watch movies. Thinking Vermont or deep in the Mountains. As long as I have floor to ceiling windows I can see the scenery!
